Coral Tree

The Coral Tree is modelled on the flexible, branching, fan-like skeletons of the Red Gorgonian Sea Fan. Exceptional colonies of this species are frequently spotted by divers on deep reef walls along the Great Barrier Reef, the Coral Sea, and deep current paths off Western Australia.

Materials: Raw mild steel with a hot wax finish, mounted on a 10mm-thick clear glass base (fastened with 2 small steel bolts)

Process: Laser cut by machine; formed and finished by hand (Kevin's)

Measurements: H 100cm x W 80cm, depth 15cm
Weight: 4.5kg including a oval glass base (base not pictured but more photos are coming soon)

The Coral Tree is designed by and produced in Melbourne by ODD's owner, Kevin Burnett, as part of the X-RAY XMAS Ocean Edition.

When you buy this piece, $12 is donated to the Australian Marine Conservation Society.
